| Description: |
Northern Bruce Peninsula (NBP) is a municipal corporation that commenced operations on January 1, 1999. It encompasses the former Townships of Eastnor, Lindsay and St. Edmunds and the Village of Lion's Head. Many other hamlets within NBP are Tobermory, Stokes Bay, Pike Bay, Miller Lake, Barrow Bay, Ferndale, Dyers Bay, and the Lindsay Rd 20 communities.
The Municipality delivers a variety of government services and facilities spread throughout the municipal boundaries which encompasses over 781 square kilometres. The Municipality employs between 40-60 staff and serves approximately 4,000 full-time residents.
The Municipality’s current telephony system at our Municipal Administration Office at 56 Lindsay Road 5 is an aging phone system that does not meet the communication needs of a modern workplace. Other municipal locations, to be included in the proposed telephony system, are not currently connected to the existing telephony system at the Municipal Administration Office but rather have individual landlines to each location. Implementing one cloud hosted system will provide many anticipated benefits, including: improved communications between sites, improved customer service, cost efficiency, increased productivity, mobility of staff, and improved reliability and security.
The Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula is seeking proposals from qualified cloud hosting telephony solution providers who are experienced in designing, installing, configuring, and supporting cloud-based business telecommunications systems which can be implemented across multiple locations. |
